There's A Chill In The Air...
Hot Carmel Apple Cider from the wonderfully over-priced coffee chain that brings us so much joy.
As the nights get cooler, the leaves begin to turn a wonderful array of reds, yellows and orange, the child can be seen bundling up a little much each week at the bus stop and pumpkins begin to appear on the steps of every house.
Fall is my favorite time. The crisp air is a refreshing feeling as you can see and feel the world getting ready for winter.
My new favorite thing in this cooler weather is the Carmel Apple Cider. To feel it warming the cool skin of my hands and feel it's warmth as I consume it. It smells of a heavenly promise of what the season can bring and as I sit here, I long for it.
But alas, my love grows in vain. The nearest Starbucks is 60 miles away. Le sigh. What ever is a girl to do?
I think head to the local over-priced coffee shop for a Chai Latte.
Must See TV...
Well, last night was the season preiemer. The world stopped for Annie and myself as we perch carefully on the edge of the couch.
I am speechless. They killed off my favorite charater. He can't be dead. I refuse to believe it. I read articles saying he might be, but come on!
I feel cheated. But who knows, he will probably show up at the end of the season again.
I still feel betrayed.

Movie Mumblings...
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Say what you want. I liked it. I smirked at it's quirky British humor and flat out giggled at the opening sequence with the dolphins.

And Nagging Works...
We found out Thursday that The Grinch will not be returning until November 1. And then will only be working 4 hours a day. I blew a gasket. Godzilla (I like color coding today) told me she was hoping that I would be restored to full time as of January 1.
I just got word I will be going full time October 1.
Yay me!
Paging PETA...
Let's have a little back story. The neighbors moved out over a week ago. They left an over-flowing garbage can and recycle bin for Kiki, who moves in next week. Thinking I was doing a good thing (there I go thinking again...), I took the trash can to the curb. When I went to grab the recycling container. It was FULL of assorted chemicals.
"What do I do? I don't want to get a fine for trying to throw them out", was along the lines on my internal dialog.
Well, my feeble little mind voted it was best to dump the chemicals in the wooded area behind our parking spots.
Glug, Glug, Glug went the pain thinner. And I stopped there. Kind of shuffled it around so they didn't look like full chemical containers.
I thought nothing more of it until yesterday.
I came home on lunch yesterday to see a bunny dead in my parking spot. He was all stiff....he had been there awhile.
In all honest, I can't be sure that I killed him. But I feel terrible.
Road Trippin'...
The ride there was mostly un-news-worthy. Except for the dumb assed cell phone talking Lexus driving twat who almost ran us off the road.
The Giggles' were at the System of a Down concert, so we were left to fend for ourselves in the bustling city of Buffalo. We went to Target because you can always find something there...I got window clings and an adorable Halloween table cloth. Let the decorating begin. I also bought my first box of Christmas cards. I can't believe they were out already.
We had dinner at Applebee's and were off the Wal-Mart. The rest of the night was like any other night at home really....laundry, movies...
They got home around 12.30 and we hung out for a few minutes and all collapsed.
Saturday we were up and about bright and early. I dunno...like 9. Puddled around the house. Went out to grab some lunch at Culver's. When we got back, MrGiggles had returned from work and was trying desperately to nap. So we did the next logical thing. Climbed in bed with him. Might be the first time he ever shared his bed with 3 women. Needless to say, no napping took place. So he got out of bed and played with his brand new 9 mm gun.
After a bit we headed to IKEA. Love that store. Got the lamp I was in search of, and a bamboo plant. And spent less then $15!
Had dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. OMG... fantastic. I can't say enough about this place. They have an awesome atmosphere. We had a blast from the time we walked in the door. The food was awesome. All of the entrees came with soup/salad, bread and ice cream. And Shockingly enough it was resonably priced.
Aside from the food, and the atmosphere and the company of course. There are two points to talk about.
There was a Gophers game, and they must have won because people were celebrating everywhere. One guy even fell drunk out of his chair!!! All of his friends just kind of laughed at him, as he quickly (well, drunk quick that is) picked himself up.
Point 2. The hair in my food. Quite near the end of the meal, I was just pushing my food around and came across a teeny tiny hair. EW. The waitress promptly got the manager, who informed me my meal was free. YAY!! Makes you wonder if that was the only hair thou. I tried not to think about it too much, because it was just fantastic!!!
The weather was some what icky on the way home. Visibility sucked. But nothing terrible. It's always sad to come home. I always miss them the second I leave. But the sooner I leave, the sooner next time rolls around.
My next venture out there will be in November with mi madre for Christmas shopping at the Mall of America. Hopefully MrsGiggles can make it out.

How Come I Didn't Know About This...
What They Said...
Urban turns country tunes into compelling mix
BY ROSS RAIHALA Pioneer Press
While he's been successfully marketed as a country act, Keith Urban proved to be anything but during his dynamic Saturday night gig in front of 13,170 screaming fans at the Xcel Energy Center.
The down-under cowboy — who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia — offered up an evening of amiable sing-alongs that had far more to do with rock and mainstream pop than country.
To wit, Urban indulged in an extended, bluesy guitar solo during "You Won." He did the same on "Raining on Sunday," a terrific ballad that faintly echoed Duran Duran's "Ordinary World."
To open "You Look Good in My Shirt," his band tore through the riff from Aerosmith's "Walk this Way." And in the middle of "Homespun Love" — a number he introduced as his "white-trash, trailer-park love song" after being hoisted above the audience on a cable and dropped off on a small second stage — Urban launched into a snippet of Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll Part Two" and, more surprisingly, the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army."
Country stars flirting with rock is hardly new, but Urban does so with what feels like genuine passion. Unlike many of country's hat acts, Urban can actually play the guitar that's strapped across his chest. He's got a rich, soulful voice, too, and writes (or co-writes) much of his material.
For once, the guy's rangy good looks — think the rebellious drifter on a daytime soap opera or a hunky carpenter on a home-improvement show — are just a nice bonus, not a means to an end.
Of course, Urban's sex appeal has something to do with his current role as a Gap pitchman and his (allegedly) blossoming romance with Nicole Kidman. It also explains Urban's heavily female fan base, which was well represented at the X.
Still, Urban's a compelling presence who plays up his humble and human side, with just a hint of naughtiness. Responding to one of the many banners displayed by audience members, he called up a pair of teenage twins and gave them each what they claimed was their first kiss. At another point, he invited a young woman from the audience and cutely curled up with her on the floor as he crooned.
At the end of his set, Urban indulged in a chorus from U2's "Beautiful Day." The anthem-like song that followed, "Somebody Like You," suggested it's only a matter of time until Urban is right up alongside U2 on rock radio.

What I Say...
The show opened with Miranda Lambert. She was pretty ok. Solidly forgettable. I will look forward to seeing her when she got some more experience under her belt. She sang her 3 hits and a few extras. She did ok.
Keith. C-R-A-Z-Y H-O-T!!!! I really wanted to say B-A-N-A-N-A-S, but I didn't want to steal that joy from MrsGiggles. Now, if she doesn't use it....
I could listen to that guy guitar forever. It's like for 30 seconds he forgets anyone is there, it's just him, playing what feels right.
The dude is crazy. He pointed out signs of note. One said, "Will you strum on our G string?" How clever is that??? I am sooo going to have to remember that one.
One said..."16 year old twins, never been kissed." He changed that. Called them up to the front and kissed them. I was so jealous that all I could point out was how illegal that was.
He pulled one very excited fan on stage. I can't even begin to describe my jealousy. They laid on the stage next to each other and sang. It was really cute, althou Keith was having a hard time singing because he was laughing so much. It was really sweet.
He swung out over the crowd to a secnd smaller stage much closer to our seats. He sang 4 or 5 songs from there. The interaction this guy has with the crowd was crazy.
When he came back for an encore he sang a song completely in the dark, just him and a piano. It was so cool. Which brings me to my next point.
Doesn't anybody smoke anymore? Here he was singing in the dark and suddenly the arena was glowing with cellphone screens. I was lost in a sea of cellphone screens.
I have seen Keith 3 times now. And I can't say enough about the guy. This is the 1st time I have seen him headline a show, and it was awesome. He is as much an entertainer as he is a musician. You can tell he honestly loves making music and entertaining a crowd.
Can't wait to see him again. Pictures to follow tonight...maybe....

Are You Ready For...
I am in the Twin Cities right now. And everyone is huddled in front of the TV to take part in a favorite national Sunday past time.
Sleeping in front of the football game.
I am not really interested in either the nap or the game...and since my stirring about was disrupting Annie and the dog...here I sit...
I have a whole lot to post about this weekend....so fun....but I will save that for when I get home.
If I left now, we'd be home at 7....I bet we are home at 9.

Picture Time...
Pick-Up Line Of The Week...
"You are a finely crafted toy, may I play with you?"
Popping The Cherry...
It proved to be one hell of a good time.
Kiki and I were a little uncomfortable when we got there orginally because we were the tallest people there. It was an open aged show and there where alot of 'younger' kids there. I was actually the only person for awhile wearing the bar wristband. I was lost in a sea of blue 'Get yo ass away from the bar area' dots.
Boxkar opened up the show and my age instantly showed. I looked at Kiki and shouted, "Does it have to be so loud?" Talk about aging yourself. But in my defense, it was so loud that you couldn't hear them. We took video (teehee) and you actually heard them much better on the video off the camera. They were good, but I am sure we would have enjoyed them more if we knew who they were.
When the night started out, Kiki and I were kinda hanging out in the back. By the end of the night, we were taking out 14 year old girls to get to the front. But they pushed first, so that makes it ok. We were close enough that we got sweated on. Ok, it's gross but kinda cool on some level. I did take a shower before bed FYI.
Cherry Monroe was AWESOME!!! I was honestly surprised. The only have one single out right now 'Satellites', so we really didn't know what to expect.
I could write so much more about the night, but I am not going too. A good time was had by all. They were a little punker then we expected, to the extent that they indivually wore more make up then Kiki and I combined. But then they sweat it off, and we could see their inner hotness.
I have had the best luck with concerts in the past.
Kiki and I were able to meet the lead singer, Matt Toka. So hot! It was wierd because we just kinda walked up to him and asked for it...not really patient enough to wait for the autograph line. He was all cool about it. And a Miller Lite drinker too. Wise Man. They were hosting an after-party in the bar after the show, and because someone wasn't 21...I couldn't go. Grr.
No matter....Here are some pictures. Ok never mind....Blogger hates me. I'll post them tonight.

A Busy Blogger...
Last night there was training, tonight Kiki and I are going to see Cherry Monroe tonight in the next city over.
Tomorrow is Customer Appreciation Day *insert fan fare here* at work. (Which is code for cookie day).
Friday morning I am leaving for the the Twin Cities to visit Mr and Mrs. Giggles.
Saturday we hope to take in the outdoor sculpture garden. We have been trying to do this now for 2 years. I hope the weather permits it. (Althou, MM seems to think we should just buy some rain slickers and do it anyways.)
Time permitting we will be going to Heaven. Also known as Ikea. Why, you ask? For this.
Then it's off to the Xcel Center to see God. Assuming God has an aussie accent and looks that good in jeans.
Sunday, I have the exhausting ride home to look foreward too.
So aside from a concert review and a pick-up line, you might not hear a whole lot from me til Sunday.

Things I Did Buy...
So I have finally posted the pictures of my totally frivalous purchases...
I love Bath and Body Works. LOVE IT!! I can't really tell you which is a worse fetish, that store or purses. This purchase satisfied both cravings.
To give you an idea as to the size of this purse...
a comparison. (And If you wanna know what CD's I'm using today...I'll tell you, but you have to ask...)
Kohl's hooked me with this one...
And I did buy something I needed...shoes for work...
At Digi's request...I will not be posting the pictures of the adult 'bookstore' purchases....

A Shopper's Dream...
Ever since the announcement of the local K-Mart closing the town has been aflutter with gossip. The word going around now (which has been for sometime) is that Target has been to the Kmart building scoping it out. I can only hope.
Quite sometime ago our County Market store closed. Which is sad, it was the best grocery store in town. But like all things, they couldn't handle the competition that Wal-Mart gave. Strangely, the parking lot for this empty building has started seeing upgrades. Well, rumor has it that Best Buy has purchased the building.
There's an old fitness center out by Wal-Mart that's is rumored to be biting the dust and Kohl's will be occupying that space. So maybe Mark can come visit.
I wait on baited breath to see.
The details of last night's spending to follow later today with pictures....

On the docket for us is likely, Target, Kohls, Bath and Body Works, Payless, Cold Stone Creamery, Applebees, Crown (it's an adult 'bookstore'), Annie has a Starbucks craving, Barnes and Noble, Wilsons Leather...
I work Saturday, so I don't know how much is going on there...
And Sunday, I will of course be heading to the Fluff and Fold...

Seventh Circle of Hell...
Anyway...company picnic was today. Kiki and I made an appearance, ate the food, sort of particapated in the 'games' and waited of the prize drawing and headed for the nearest mall.
In defense of the lame assed games, I won a $25 gas card in the door prize drawing!
At the mall, we wandered into all our favorite stores, Bath and Body, Victoria's Secret, and Wilsons Leather.
Heehee...I bought another purse....and it's fantastic...but Kiki bought the one I really wanted...but I did get a purse and a coin purse there for under $10. And the purse is fantastic!!!
And our last stop before heading back was the gates of heaven. Cold Stone Creamery. I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic this place is!!! Who wouldn't love homemade ice cream made before your eyes. I had this and it was so good I could vomit.
Word of advice, get the little serving...
A Last Minute Entry...
It was your pretty average british drug trafficing movie. I did think it was cool. Slightly more complex then your average smash-and-grab type movie.
However, one camera shot impressed the hell out of me and made the movie cool.
I'd watch it again.
Movie Mumblings...
RS: Even with all the celebrity voices...I still wanted to kill myself.
BPP: I expected more from a big name star like...Barbie.
Crash: Sandra Bullock is back in a big way. I loved this!!! Go see it right now!!! This was so good, raw, emotional, honest....
MIL: I suddenly like J-Lo again. Her and Jane Fonda tore it up in a big way!!! And Micheal Vartan....hottie!!!!
Say It Isn't So...
I refuse to believe it, as I am seeing him live in...13 days!!!
Mrs Giggles, I am coming over in 12 days!!!!

Why Is That...
I am sorry....what was I talking about?
Oh right, bananas b-a-n-a-n-a-s. Why is it that when you eat.....that particular fruit, that you always have that weird coated feeling in your mouth? Or is it just my mouth?
Someone give me a fake scientific answer to this mystery....or a real one if you have it...
How Old....
Head on over to his place and give him some love.... I heard there was nachos teehee

Movie Mumblings...
SC: If you haven't seen it yet, what's the hold up? It's soooo cool.
AM: I fell asleep watching it and never bothered to turn it back on.
R2: The openning sequence....very creepy. Rest of movie....looks too made up to have any kind of creep-out factor.

The 494 Is Backed Up For Miles...
Seal's face. Everyday. Do that many people care about Seal's face?
Nicole Ritchie's Weight Loss. I am so over that.
Mike Meyers/Kayne West/Katrina. That was a snafu I am benefitting from.
Jude Law. Still getting hits from his teeny winky. I'd still do him.
Naked Neighbors. This surprises me. I haven't posted about them in some time. I miss them. *yearns for home, without yearning for living at home*
So to increase traffic for a day or two...here goes...
Katrina, Kanye West, Lost Pets, frozen pizza, donation spots, naked, prom dates, Jude Law, Jennifer Aniston, Pregnant Britney, Angelina Jolie, Bennifer, Brokeback Mountain (I really hope to get hits from that), Scotty Doesn't Know (hehe Kiki), Sir Kanga Von Pimpincat, ramen noodle meals, Seal's fucked up face, Bob Denver, Hilary Clinton (hoping I don't get hits from there), Wonkette, Nicole Ritchie, Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson hoedown, Jessica and Nick, Johnny Knoxville, tuna, Alias, horny bartenders (hehehehe again), Miller Lite, gummi bears, predators, jelly fish stings, disaster relief, wedding dresses, kerr-snap (hehe), as good as it gets, bad jobs, average, weight loss, peanut butter, public sex (hehehe) and FEMA.
LOL, some jokes in there for a few of you...or personal digs....which ever way it works out.
Let's Talk TV...
Tuesday means Tommy Lee Goes to College. I cannot tell you how much joy this show brings me. It's so good.
Because I couldn't reach the remote, I was subject to watching The Office. I actually feel a little dumber after watching that. And I didn't think that was possible, as I am sure many of you will agree. I like TV, all TV as a rule. By the end of this, I felt like my soul had been sucked out my nostil, it was that bad.
I wish I had more TV to talk about but, it's all re-runs and with only one channel....I cannot wait for the new season to start. Sundays are looking real good on NBC. West Wing, Law and Order: CI, and Crossing Jordan. 75% of my favorite shows in one night...hope the rest of the week works out ok.
Brotherhood Of The Softcore...
Anyhow, Graham was reading Cosmo on lunch today. I made some kind of sarcastic comment and he looked at me and said...
"You'd be surprised what a guy can learn reading Cosmo."
Which makes me think, is there a whole clan of underground male Cosmo readers?

Did He Just Say That...
When out of no where Mr. West says...
"The President doesn't care about black people." *chirp chirp goes the cricket* "Please call now."
WTF is that???? It might be true, but who says that on national tv?????

Friendly Reminder...
You can also donate at many area drop points in your area. Non perishables are being trucked out faster then we can donate them.
Give blood at the local drive. It's needed.
Do what you can, no matter how big or small the gesture, it changes someone's life.
and i am just going to keep bringing it up until you cave...
Vila, Bob Vila...
Ray-Ray and her hubby got me this shelf I picked out as a housewarming present. So after impatiently waiting for Mack to hang this, I got out my little pink tools (ty very much MrsGiggles)...
And set to the task at hand. I opened the box. It contained a shelf, 2 anchors and 2 screws. Annie and I shrugged our shoulders and thought 'This should be easy'.
It was not. 7 holes later (I cant measure apparently), this is what you get.
I did ok. I laughed pretty hard. Annie peed a little. I am a pretty independent girl. This is a strong argument for why women need men.
Men with drills...
A Strange Mix Of Stuff...
On my way to work, I was bopping along rocking out in the car, looking at all the kids at bus stops. I live in a very residential area. Driving, driving driving......ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT (that's my brake noise). Standing waiting at the bus stop for the very first time was Digi, Girlfriend, and the Kid.
So I just had to stop and take a picture. It was the coolest thing ever. He was so excited! I am looking forward to seeing him every morning on my way to work.
Went to a funeral today. Well, you can guess how that went. It's a funeral, not really a fun expererience. But I swear to all that is holy, I saw a camera flash. Who does that??? And the clothes, oh the disgrace. There were some very appropriately dressed people there. IE: Squidward and myself. Not so appropriate was the not very thin young lady with the stringy bleached out long hair. She came decked out in a black tank top, that didn't quite cover her belly button. She paired this with a white skirt with black flowers. It came down to just below her cootch. There was this much (I am holding my hands about 6 iches apart) not tight stomach hanging out. And to top it all off...her Playboy bunny purse, just screamed 'classy lady'.
Seriously, what are people thinking??
All the family down in the Gulf Coast has checked in and all is well. By well I mean, all the trees are down, there's no power, and the roads are inpassable. But everyone is alive, so all is well.
Let's Try This Again...
Do you want a fuck... (wait for a second gauging his/her reaction)...ing drink?
