You know the one. Sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. As the wait continues, that feeling of rejection grows with every passing second. You know, that pit in your stomach that eventually becomes a rock. Weighing you down, pulling you under. Making you re-think your approach to everything.
And then the phone rings.
And that feeling is great.

YES! It's consuming and there is nothing you can do about it. You work yourself up into such a frenzy of 'what if's' and 'why's' till you've almost beaten yourself down and then.....it rings and all is forgotten until the next feeling of hopelessness. Why we do it, I have no idea.
I am in that same holding pattern again, and I know I shouldn't be but still...
...and then the phone rings. Yeah, to tell you it's off. Now THAT'S excitement to put your life on hold for. :-(
LOL...I negelected to mention that part.
but it was fun while it lasted!
I was entertained for a short while, and it did give me something new to talk about.
