Take A Look At My Bits...

Interesting things I have been reading.

I read this article with such a sense of doom.

I swear I read this and it's something to do with David Beckham's career, but isn't he pretty?

Paris is engaged to Paris. And I read in the paper that they want to name their first child...you guessed it...Paris. I think it's a clever plan to not let Nicole out-do her.

So, it's all over the news about 'Deep Throat'. I just can't bring myself to not laugh saying that outloud. I am a filthy little pig.

I'd let him grope me. Ever since I saw him in Heathers, he can do what ever he wants too.

PETA has a spy? It just sounds wrong.

A Tired Blogger...

Easy Like Sunday Morning...

Ok, when you go to bed at 5 a.m. the last thing you need to hear is the phone ringing at 10:30. I promised MM I would help finish the moving/cleaning out of my soon to be house. After many hours, the house is cleaner then when she moved in. At least, I know I don't have to clean before I start unpacking.

During the cleaning process, i watched a bug crawl out of the bathroom sink drain. I immediately left to buy bug fogger. I should now be bug free.

As we were moving the last of the stuff out, it started pouring down sheets of rain. Not fun. Picture trying to lug a punching bag out of someone's trunk in the beating down rain.

MM and Prof Snape's lease is up today. I would imagine they turned the keys in, meaning I could be moving as early as the weekend. And as I don't know a whole lot of people, you are all invited to help. There will be beer, if that sways the vote any.

And bring a truck too.

Take That And Rewind It Back...

So a lot happened this weekend. We are going to take it a day at a time. Starting with Saturday.

I stirred myself out of bed pretty early on Satuday. I was up at 7:15 to make sure that Kiki made it to work on time. I made the call at that time to get my ass out of bed and get the running done in town that I needed to get done. So I was at Wal-Mart, Family Dollar, Goodwill, Dollar Tree (yes, I really am that cheap that I shop at all these places), and the post office all before 10 a.m. I was so proud. I went home and worked on downloading a new CD and and got in the shower. While I was getting out of the shower, my phone started ringing. It was MrsGiggles requesting me to move a little faster and come to meet her. So, I hurried my little tush out the door and just chilled a little bit. We exchanged vacation stuff and she gave both Annie and I incredibly thoughtful housewarming gifts, although mine was a little heavier :-)!!!

I met up with Ray-Ray and S and went to see The Longest Yard. It was pretty funny. We caught some dinner at the chinese buffet. And then we met up with Annie. We headed out to the beachy bar. Hung out there for a few hours shot some pool, shot some darts. Listened to this terrible band, but Ray-ray and S were just rocking out. It was funny. Went to Nowheresberg to a little roadside bar that was busier then the bar we just came from. Met up with Mr and MrsGiggles, the slighty cracked mother in law, and the princess sister. Listened to a band there. They were good. Left there and went to a quiet little ma and pop bar. Left there at bar close.
Now, keeping in mind, it's a 25 minutes drive in nice weather back to Nowhere. I pulled in my driveway at 4:19 a.m. I don't think I have ever been awake when the sun has started to come up. Well, I have been up, but never not been to bed yet. But anyway, that's what happens when the fog is super thick and you have to drive everyone else home.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't mind being the D.D. when it's my turn, but it's been my turn for a year now. It's time to pass the keys on. However, I do know that at the end of the night, everyone is alive and safely passed out in their beds. But sometimes, I just want to be the one passed out in bed.

It's been so busy that it took me all day to type that.

Perhaps...

I have so much to say about my weekend, that I don't even know where to begin.

Perhaps tonight I won't.

That Guy Is Everywhere...

I was watching a little bit of telly, and a Menards commercial came on. I am sure the sales guy in the commerical was William Hung.

It probably wasn't but I enjoyed the chuckle, none the less.

Happy Happy Honda...

I sold it!!! For real!!! Like it's not in my yard. Like I already put the money in my savings! Like I am so happy, because now I have money to go out with my friends from out of town! YAY!!!

*sniff sniff* Farewell Heather!! *gleeful dance*

Celebrity Bits...

Corey Clark is miffed by his very own 'Idol' spoof. Boo-hoo. Notice this guy looks frighteningly like Ali G?

Angelina is telling the world she could never sleep with a marred man, including Brad. Stop the insanity, girl. We all know what's going on there, and we have moved on.

Talk About What You Know...

That's good advice, because I should always talk about celebrities...

I am number #3 on Yahoo when you search for lindsay lohan and nicole ritchie skinnier. I am so proud of me!

Isn't That A Bummer...

It occurred to me while Annie was professing her excitement for the upcoming move...I am not excited.

It's just another day. I can't seem to remember the last time I really felt excited for anything, other then my vacation.

I don't know what's worng with me. And no, Digi, I don't need you to tell me.

YAY...

I love Carrie!

Although I would have been happy either way.

But how good did she sound with Rascal Flatts?!?!?

Dentally Damned...

I went to the dentist for the first time in 3 years. WHAT WAS I THINKING????

I think I must have set a record for cavities, I won't say how many...but it's between 14 and 17. $3,000 worth of cavities!!!!! He called them 'flossing cavities'. As in...if I had flossed, I wouldn't have cavities. He also says I should consider braces. I am not so sure about that.

Do you have any idea how much floss you can buy with $3,000????

The first appointment is in a week or two and I am having 5 taken care of. That maxes my insurance for the year. So it's going to be a long process.

I've Never...

Ever play that drinking game, "I've Never"? MrsGiggles introduced me to it (and many others, I might add) when we were going to 'school'. My post-secondary education was just what I did when there was nothing on sale, it was rainy outside, or there were no new Beanie Babies. Anyway, after reading on PJS's blog, I am inspired to write my own little list. I was working on a '100 things about me' post, but this is easier for now. Seeing as how I am blocked at 50, I am made up my mind that I am not that interesting and I have no idea why people read this. I mean, all 6 of you have nothing better to do?

Anyway?

Ten Things I have Never Done.

  1. I have never had Rocky Road ice cream.
  2. I have never seen a Star Wars movie from start to finish.
  3. I have never been brave enough to pierce anything other then my ears.
  4. I have never been any further west then the Twin Cities.
  5. I have never been thin.
  6. I have never been white water rafting.
  7. I have never gone home with a stranger after a night of drinking.
  8. I have never been able to stand-up for myself.
  9. I have never lived alone.
  10. I have never missed friends like I do now.

Rest Easy...

I had a fortune teller predict the date of my death once, and it scared me. It isn't far off from where I am now. Today I took a web test and it told me that I won't die until I am 66. That gives me 39 more years then I expected.

Which also made me kind of sad. I have lived out 37% of my life, and what do I have to show?

One Man's Trash...

I completely forgot to mention my 'Goodwill' finds.

I got this really fantastic bowl, new curtains for my soon to be kitchen, and a fantastic Partylite candleholder, for....

$6.29!

I am so proud.

Conversations With Katie...

Most mornings while mulling over my breakfast Katie Couric and I talk a little. It helps ease me into the day. We don't have much to say to each usually. She asks me a question as the lead-in to her story and I respond.

This morning was no different.

"Are you overworked and underpaid?"

"Fuckin' right doggy."

A Glance Back...

The Weekend Recap.

I worked Saturday and from their I went to help MM clean/pack her up. I can't believe it's almost my apartment. We threw and impromptu 'almost' birthday party and I had never laughed so hard in my whole life. And then things took a sharp turn south and it was not fun anymore. But I won't bum you out by filling you in on all that. MM went camera crazy thou and took like 80 pictures. We were pretty silly.

Sunday, I got up early and went to Wausau. See below. Had fun, spent too much. As always.

Today was a really rough day at work. It seems that 3 of us carry the weight of the entire teller staff because of either laziness or spacey-ness (yes that's a word). Kiki, Saltine, and I feel we do most of the work and as a result more gets dumped on us. They expect more of us and that's bullshit. Since we are all equals, we should all carry an equal load.

My schedule for the week must have changed like 4 or 5 times in 10 minutes today. It's funny how much white-out got used in such a small time.

I watch the season finale for Las Vegas tonight. All I can say is ... OMG!!!! And while I am talking about tv, let's talk The O.C. I watched the 1st season religiously. I never missed an episode, well this season I hadn't caught one. Fear not, enter the summer season. They are re-running the entire season this summer!!! YAY for me.

Well, Friends is about to start and I have to go find Pheobe. She's rolling around in her 'kritter ball', and I think she's stuck in a corner.

My Shopping Finds...

I bought this shirt and I paid $4.50.

I bought this lotion and this shower gel and paid $10 for both.

I bought 4 cute little plates (link unavailable) at Target for $1. (and I heard we were getting a Target in Nowhere, WI *see my gleeful dance*)

Movie Mumblings...

Ali G in Da House and Ocean's 12

AGIDH: Funny Stuff!!!

O12: Lots of eye candy, but I liked it better the 1st time I saw it. Laser dance...GOOD!

Meet Phoebe...

I adopted Phoebe the Gerbil on May 22. She's cute and really shy yet. She likes to hide under her playhouse when she sees us coming. I want to try out her 'kritter ball' tonight, but I should just leave her be I guess for a day or two.
